Happy Mother’s Day!

I’m pregnant on Mother’s Day!

Every year on Mother’s Day since 2007, I’ve been celebrated for being a mother but when the day rolls around for me I usually don’t feel worthy because when we lost our first baby I kind of felt like I lost motherhood too. It was just something that sort of happened on it’s own.

But this year was different! I feel like a mother, and I couldn’t be happier to celebrate with other moms out there! Mother’s Day was so special this year and I truly felt celebrated. I had so much fun with my loved ones and friends celebrating and reflecting on stories of our own mothers while eating and just loving life. It was truly a beautiful day full of love!

Here are some moments of the week and of course, the belly!

Matt got me such a large bouquet that I had to split them in two vases…a good problem to have, I’d say.

I made it to my baby shower! With just one week away from my due date, it was a close call but I made it and guess what…still pregnant a week later! I’m just so relieved because here I am at just about 40 weeks and he is hanging in there until my mama gets... Continue reading

This week has definitely felt like “woah, I could have this baby at any moment.” Mainly, because my doctor said that I’m 1 cm dilated which, I know, doesn’t really mean much but to me it does mean that things are progressing. Especially since there was absolutely nothing last week. After I realized that, I... Continue reading

What's in my hospital bag.001

Hallelujah! I have finally packed my bag for the hospital! I don’t know why, but it took me forever to get everything in there. I did buy a couple of things so maybe that’s why. Anyhoo, here is the list of things I am going to be bringing with me for the big labor day!... Continue reading

  • Veselina

    Hey!
I know you have been quite some time ago in this situation, but I am now!! And have been amazed to read your statements on the nausea, because I also find the same general information that you have found, e.g. morning sickness and diziness, but never as what I experience – a whole day long comings and goings..
Excuse me so much, I did not present myself! My name is Veselina Pekala! I would love to contact you, as I am a mother-to-be in abroad and I actually know noone here, since we moved 3 months ago! I find great deal of similarities between you and me and I am so happy I found you! Looking at your videos and pictures, not only about pregnancy, but all the essence of your simple and gorgeous website, makes me experience some kind of calmness, so.. I know it is late for my nausea-compation, but you have it and I also wanted to add thank you! Just for this thiny web-space of calmness, colour and sunlight :)))))
    Saludos!
