Weeks 29 and 30 Bump Shots

These past two weeks have been such a contrast from each other! In week 29 I was in Japan, still walking around everywhere and staying quite busy. Whereas week 30 was back home trying to calm down from the previous week and recover from jet-lag. Now that I am in a semi normal routine I have noticed some new pregnancy symptoms that maybe I was able to overlook in Japan because of busy-ness. Some things that I have experienced this week include a little back pain, heartburn, dizziness, and just all around exhaustion. Also, I’ve been super hungry and find myself eating 6 meals a day. Maybe I need to catch up on all the calories I lost while in Japan because I didn’t gain any weight while we were there. By the end of week 30 I weighed in at almost a pound from being home for a week. I hear that this third trimester is when the weight comes all at once, so we’ll see!

I’m glad to be in the third trimester because I can’t wait to meet this little guy but then again I am also thinking that I may actually miss being pregnant! It’s been a great adventure so far. It’s really interesting how you can get used to something and in this case, pregnancy has been something that has been really easy to transition back into. The hard part hasn’t even started yet so that has been something I’ve been trying to wrap my brain around. Parenthood brings it’s own set of struggles! But let’s think about that later…For now here are some bump shots for 30 weeks!

I made it to my baby shower! With just one week away from my due date, it was a close call but I made it and guess what…still pregnant a week later! I’m just so relieved because here I am at just about 40 weeks and he is hanging in there until my mama gets... Continue reading

This week has definitely felt like “woah, I could have this baby at any moment.” Mainly, because my doctor said that I’m 1 cm dilated which, I know, doesn’t really mean much but to me it does mean that things are progressing. Especially since there was absolutely nothing last week. After I realized that, I... Continue reading

What's in my hospital bag.001

Hallelujah! I have finally packed my bag for the hospital! I don’t know why, but it took me forever to get everything in there. I did buy a couple of things so maybe that’s why. Anyhoo, here is the list of things I am going to be bringing with me for the big labor day!... Continue reading

  • Veselina

    Hey!
I know you have been quite some time ago in this situation, but I am now!! And have been amazed to read your statements on the nausea, because I also find the same general information that you have found, e.g. morning sickness and diziness, but never as what I experience – a whole day long comings and goings..
Excuse me so much, I did not present myself! My name is Veselina Pekala! I would love to contact you, as I am a mother-to-be in abroad and I actually know noone here, since we moved 3 months ago! I find great deal of similarities between you and me and I am so happy I found you! Looking at your videos and pictures, not only about pregnancy, but all the essence of your simple and gorgeous website, makes me experience some kind of calmness, so.. I know it is late for my nausea-compation, but you have it and I also wanted to add thank you! Just for this thiny web-space of calmness, colour and sunlight :)))))
    Saludos!
