Naughty Toffee

If you love toffee as much as I do, then these sweet bars are for you. Part blondie, part Heath bar, and full of sweet delight. Only takes a few minutes to whip up!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate fudge ice cream topping or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans

1. In a mixing bowl beat the butter and sugar with a hand mixer. Beat until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and mix through.

2. In a separate mixing bowl, wisk together the flour and salt.

3. Add the flour mixture and blend until large crumbs form.

4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare a brownie pan or and 8×8 or 9×9 pan

5. Press the crumbs into the bottom of the pan and bake for 20 minutes

6. Take the bars out of the oven and let sit for about 5 minutes.

7. Spread the chocolate fudge sauce or chocolate chips over the hot bars. Sprinkle the pecans all over on top of the chocolate sauce. Cut into bars and enjoy!
