Clouds. Fog. Wind.
It’s days like these that really make me love northern California. I know, I know…what? But honestly, it’s when the fog is in and hides the sun rays and the wind kicks up that I can truly appreciate when it’s sunny and warm. After all, a cup of something warm is just better when there’s a chill in the air. That being said, I’ve whipped up this warm, citrusy-sweet tea that does just the trick when the weather dips below the preferred 65 degrees… or for just enjoying with a book on a rainy Saturday.
For this little cup of sunshine, just a few ingredients are needed: 2 oranges, a tablespoon of honey, a cinnamon stick, and a kettle of boiling water. Slice the oranges in half and squeeze the juice into your cup of choice. You may choose to strain the pulp but I kinda like a little in mine (fiber!) Add the hot water to fill the rest of the cup, drop in the honey and cinnamon stick and sit back in your comfy chair. You may need to just go ahead and make a pot of this.
