The Best Year

This week, Matt and I celebrated our eight year wedding anniversary! We enjoyed hanging around the city, going to the beach and getting massages. It was a great day! It’s been an amazing year and we have so many good memories from this year that it was hard to keep track of them all. I love going through old pictures of the year and reminiscing. That’s what we usually do on our anniversaries, think back to all the memories we had and re-visit big moments. We definitely had a lot this year! Between two big global trips and getting pregnant, I’d say it was a full year indeed. Here’s to year eight with a brand new family member to look forward to!

Here are this week’s bump shots and a pic of the car seat we chose! We really love this seat for two main reasons. One, it is the only one out there on the market right now that allows the baby to be in the most reclined position which is great for newborn floppy heads and prevents those little noggins from falling forward. Also, it takes safety to the next level with retractable impact arms that will act as a buffer between the seat and the car in case of a car crash, heaven forbid. It has a similar load leg on the base of the seat for absorbing impact in a front or rear crash. Plus, it’s really pretty and super easy to install. I think it took us 1 minute to fully install the whole thing! I’ll be doing a more detailed review of the Cybex Aton Q soon so stay tuned!

I made it to my baby shower! With just one week away from my due date, it was a close call but I made it and guess what…still pregnant a week later! I’m just so relieved because here I am at just about 40 weeks and he is hanging in there until my mama gets... Continue reading

This week has definitely felt like “woah, I could have this baby at any moment.” Mainly, because my doctor said that I’m 1 cm dilated which, I know, doesn’t really mean much but to me it does mean that things are progressing. Especially since there was absolutely nothing last week. After I realized that, I... Continue reading

What's in my hospital bag.001

Hallelujah! I have finally packed my bag for the hospital! I don’t know why, but it took me forever to get everything in there. I did buy a couple of things so maybe that’s why. Anyhoo, here is the list of things I am going to be bringing with me for the big labor day!... Continue reading

  • Veselina

    Hey!
I know you have been quite some time ago in this situation, but I am now!! And have been amazed to read your statements on the nausea, because I also find the same general information that you have found, e.g. morning sickness and diziness, but never as what I experience – a whole day long comings and goings..
Excuse me so much, I did not present myself! My name is Veselina Pekala! I would love to contact you, as I am a mother-to-be in abroad and I actually know noone here, since we moved 3 months ago! I find great deal of similarities between you and me and I am so happy I found you! Looking at your videos and pictures, not only about pregnancy, but all the essence of your simple and gorgeous website, makes me experience some kind of calmness, so.. I know it is late for my nausea-compation, but you have it and I also wanted to add thank you! Just for this thiny web-space of calmness, colour and sunlight :)))))
    Saludos!
