Everyone has been rocking the cat-eye and I love how everyone has their own signature wing. When just starting out though, it can be intimidating. I remember starting out with just regular pencil eyeliner and smudging it with a brush, flaring up the ends with a flick of the brush (we all learn somehow). Then I met liquid eyeliner. There are so many different choices in liquid eyeliner these days that it can be hard to figure out what you think you need. In my experience, the most easy (and fastest) applicator tip would be the brush/pot duo. The liner is more of a gel-like consistency and it’s heavily pigmented so it just glides easier. The sponge tipped applicators that seem to be common in the pen liquid liners just seem too firm for me to get a perfectly straight line. The traditional liquid liners with a skinny brush tip are pretty versatile; they can result in a fine, demi-wing cat eye line or can build upon itself for a more dramatic, Adele-style wing.
Here’s a video using L’Oreal Infallible liner. Enjoy!
