We made it! It’s hard to believe that we are here again for the fourth time! It’s also crazy to think about how easy it is to get from one place to another. Like, we were eating breakfast in San Francisco and dinner in Tokyo…it’s time travel!

We’ve had fun so far though. Our motto for this trip is to “just be”. Rather than trying to see and do everything, we just want to experience Japan and nature and be with friends. I think we may have overdid it the first two days (we walked way too much for way too long) but the rest of the week we have tried to take it easy and just be aware of our surroundings and the people. It’s been great seeing old friends and laughing over meals together.

So far we’ve been to Tokyo, made a stop in Nagoya to see a friend, a stop in Okayama to see a friend, and now we’re in Takamatsu. We know this city well but it’s been 5 years since we lived here so some things have changed but we are glad to see that most have stayed the same. We’ve actually seen a lot of people already and we still have a week left.
We’re on our way to Kyoto tomorrow to see the Cherry Blossoms and enjoy the outdoors. Our last stop will be back in Tokyo for the remainder of the week to shop around for baby stuff and find good coffee for Matt (he’s had a hard time, haha).

It’s actually been harder than I thought to find infant clothes here. I’ve seen plenty of toddler aged stuff but any clothes from newborn to 6 months has been difficult. I’m hoping to have better luck when we get back to Tokyo. I have bought a couple small things so far which I’ll show in my update video, which I hope to upload in the next few days.
